Hi Everyone - My Name is Bob O'Donnell otherwise known as "The Fossil Guy". I started collecting fossils as a child, when I was 10 years old I had a Big Brother from the Big Brothers Organization that took me out to Arkona, Ontario to collect fossils. As I grew up I began to buy, trade, and collect even more fossil specimens. I found that my life has been one big circle in regards to Arkona , Ontario and collecting fossils. I worked at Vachon Cakes and my route included Arkona. I was asked to do fossil presentations at Rock Glen Conservation Area in Arkona. Years later while doing a presentation at Rock Glen I was approached by Cliff from the Arkona Lions Club, he asked me if I would like to join the Arkona Lions Club and become the Curator of The Arkona Lions Museum And Information Centre, I agreed and it was one of the best decisions of my life. While doing fossil presentations I added in Field Trips to collect fossils at Hungry Hollow in North Middlesex with the owners permission, then later on I was asked to be there Liaison. My goal has been to help enrich families by making memories and learning together by going out fossil collecting as a family, and helping their adventurous children in what they love to do ..."collect fossils" it's a lot of fun.
